Improvements in healthcare are causing Americans to live longer. As a result, many families care for elderly relatives. To be prepared to provide the best care to loved ones, one should learn about the options and services available to seniors.

A Parent's Guide to Bullying

Each day, over 100,000 children are absent from school due to bullying. Often, parents are not sure how to support their child through bullying episodes.

“A Parent’s Guide to Bullying” will provide parents with the tools necessary to help their child overcome the bullying ordeal.

A Parent's Guide to Child Safety

Did you know that having a personal safety plan is just as important as having a fire escape plan? Eighty-five percent of children who are victimized are victimized by someone the child knows.

“A Parent’s Guide to Child Safety” will teach parents and caregivers how to talk with their children about personal safety.

Child Sexual Assault and Mandated Reporting

Child sexual assault is a worldwide epidemic. By the age of 18, 1in 3 girls and 1 in 5 boys will be the victims of sexual assault or sexual abuse.

The effects of sexual assault and sexual abuse can carry life-time scars for both the victim/survivors and their families. Prevention is the key to safeguard children.

Drug Facilitated Sexual Assault

Ecstasy, Special K, and alcohol are just a few of the drugs perpetrators use to intentionally injure victims. This workshop presents visual examples of the intoxicants and discusses the methods used to administer drugs to victims. Information on services and support for victim/survivors is also presented.

It Takes Courage – Support for Male Victim/Survivors of Sexual Assault

1 in 4 males will be the victim of sexual assault or sexual abuse by the age of 18. Unfortunately, culture and beliefs have prevented male victim/survivors from getting the support which they greatly need.

“It Takes Courage” examines the issue of male sexual assault and provides information on services and support for male victim/survivors.

Family Violence Prevention Workshop

Family violence is not a “women only” issue.

“The Family Violence Prevention Workshop” identifies the causes of violent behavior and provides tools to support those who desire to break the cycle.
