WOAR offers internships to graduate students in Psychology or Social Work programs. The student must be in their final year of school and have completed course work in Assessment & Diagnosis, Treatment Methods, Theories of Counseling/Therapy, Group Counseling, and be familiar with the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual for Mental Health Disorders (DSM).
A graduate intern will receive extensive training on sexual assault, treatment issues, working with children, working with adults, and responding to crisis situations. This training occurs in September and is required.

All interns are given individual weekly supervision by the Director of Counseling Services.
An interested student must submit a resume and a letter of interest, describing the requirements of your program, to the Director of Counseling Services Jill Maier, MA, LPC or Fax 215-985-9111. You will be contacted for an interview. There are typically 3-4 positions available each September. Interviews are held in the Spring prior to beginning your internship.
