WOAR: Philadelphia’s Only Rape Crisis Center
Women Organized Against Rape is a non-profit organization whose mission is to eliminate sexual violence through specialized treatment services, comprehensive prevention education programs, and advocacy for the rights of survivors of sexual assault. WOAR provides free counseling for women, men, and children who have experienced sexual violence.
Sexual violence is a complex social issue that requires a collaboration of resources, knowledge, and dedication to reduce it. By working together, we can do it. Meanwhile, WOAR is committed and ready – 24 hours a day – to serve the needs of survivors, to advocate on their behalf, and to provide life-saving information to our community.
