I am interested in becoming a Crisis Hotline Volunteer with WOAR.

I am comfortable with and able to take hotline calls from my personal phone.

I am able to travel to and from the Philadelphia Sexual Assault Response Center (PSARC) located at 300 E. Hunting Park Avenue in Philadelphia when WOAR is able to return to providing this service in-person safely. Support for victims/survivors seeking medical attention at PSARC will occur virtually for now. Please note: persons with disabilities may be able to cover hotline calls only, without providing support in person at PSARC. Please discuss with WOAR’s Volunteer Coordinator.

I am not able to take hotline calls from my personal phone and/or I am not able to travel to PSARC. Please connect me with other WOAR volunteer opportunities.

I can you commit to at least 6-8 hours per month for at least 1 year.

I can you commit to the full 40-hour Volunteer Sexual Assault Counselor training.

As a WOAR volunteer, you will become part of a vital network that provides continual coverage for our 24-hour hotline. Volunteers’ main responsibilities are hotline call coverage from your personal phone and medical accompaniment. Volunteers must provide their own transportation.
